Samsung is gearing up for its next Galaxy Unpacked event in July, where the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are expected to be unveiled. Speculations have also hinted at Fan Edition and Ultra versions of the Galaxy Z Fold. According to recent rumors, the South Korean tech giant is also developing another foldable device, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim, slated for a late-year release, potentially lacking S Pen support.
According to a tweet by DSCC analyst Ross Young, Samsung is preparing a book-style foldable device that will be larger than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This new model, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim, is expected to launch in the fourth quarter (October-December) of this year, with pricing anticipated to be similar to the standard model.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is rumored to feature a larger display than the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6 and may omit S Pen support. Young suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra might actually be the same device. To achieve the slim design, Samsung might have removed the digitizer required for S Pen functionality.
Additionally, the Fan Edition versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are rumored to be released this year. These models are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor and the Exynos 2300 SoC, depending on the market.
